My training partner Mario Guevara and I recently purchased the Silat series.
2 and 3 are excellent. ..

This is GOOD silat. I have trained with Dan Inosanto, Willem DeThouars,
Herman Suwanda, Harold Koning, Bruno Cruicchi, Cass Magda, Cliff Stewart, and
others. Blaise's SILAT is the good stuff, the old stuff, the real killer
material.
I thoroughly enjoyed his presentation, organization, and demonstration.

I am looking forward to all of the Bonehead material and anything Blaise has
to offer.

It has come to my attention that there are some on your eskrima forum
questioning the skills of Blaise Loong and his Yashai Warcraft system. I am
writing you today to offer you and your subscribers the highest testimonial
and recommendation for Blaise and Yashai Warcraft.

A little of my personal background first. I started my martial arts career
in 1988. I currently hold a 2nd degree Black Belt rank in Kempo Karate with
Brunswick Martial Arts Academy in Brunswick, Maine. I have also held a
Black Sash ranking in a Kung Fu style called Tien Shan Pai from Body Balance
Tai Chi and Kung Fu in Clarksburg, Maryland.

I met Blaise in 1998 when he came to Brunswick Martial Arts Academy to give
a seminar in Yashai Warcraft. I was GREATLY impressed and have not missed
any of his seminars since. I thought his techniques were fluid, swift and
devastatingly effective using knives, eskrima sticks and empty hands.
Blaise also demonstrated that the Yashai system is very adaptable. He
demonstrated how a technique with, or against, a knife could be adapted to
an eskrima stick, sword or even empty hands. I found Blaise and his
assistants to be a very capable instructors who could articulate the purpose
of each technique and would take time with anyone having troubles to make
sure the student was effective with the technique. On top of all that,
Blaise is a very personable and outgoing man that I, for my part at least,
am proud to claim as a friend.

To sum up, I know Blaise Loong and the art he teaches. I consider both to
be of the HIGHEST quality and merit and I would encourage you and your
subscribers to attend the next seminar in your area or to at least buy his
videos. Both would be time and money well spent.

Respectfully and Sincerely,

Thomas J. Gallagher

Hi,

Got the Sabungin DVDs a few days ago. Went through customs with no problems.
Excellent stuff! I first read about Blaise Loong in a Scandinavian martial
arts magazine 5 or 6 years ago. Then I asked GMs Giron and Somera if they
had heard of him (not knowing they knew each other). I could see from the
DVDs why they spoke highly of his skills.

Thanks again for great service and happy new year.

Take care,
Ingmund Forberg

I'm sorry for the late reply. yes i did receive the DVD and i liked it a lot. It is very straight forward and real. My Silat Gayong teacher told me he wants to meet Guro Blaise Loong and mabye invite him to our neck of the woods. I told him about you guys and he likes it.
Thanks again!
Joel

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Silat Subungin Vol. 1 and 2 are excellent videos for the edged weapon survivalist! Blaise's philosophy and methodology to edged weapon skirmish type encounters is very practical, combative, brutal and effective for self-protection situations. These volumes 1 and 2 seem geared for both the beginner as well as the advanced kali or silat players(the material shown in my opinon was very basic, however the live-blade training in the videos i especially like. live blades are considered advanced training principles). Both videos i found to be very informative, entertaining and interesting. Im glad to have these as a part of my kali/silat training DVDs library. I look forward to more quality videos from bonehead LLC!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Sifu,

Though I am not a 'know-it-all,'champion in pit-fighting circles, or anything of the like, I am however capable of recognizing character. While I (and scores of others) have participated in your seminars and/or training sessions can attest to the lethality of your technical prowess and your committment to teach combat in it's purest form, I am equally impressed at your humility, patience, and wisdom by calling to attention the moral implications of wielding such knowledge.

Your ability to physically and verbally articulate the details of each movement flawlessly, to explaining the historical aspects of each art shows a unique comprehension and understanding that I have not seen in any other. In addition, although I write to you from a distance, you never seem to tire of my questions but rather offer to train me further, even remotely.

Thank you for continuing to uphold your mantle of excellence. It has
been an privelege and honor to train in your hall.

SOMA vol 1 is excellent. in fact im thinking of getting a Glock 30 now, not sure though, currently have a G-17. waiting for SOMA vol 2 to come out, as well as the apache knife fighting DVD. Torke Blaise provides excellent realistic tactical training for the modern day warrior. Jotunn, whats up buddy.

This is John Joyce, friend from long ago. I happened across your web site and was reading the discussion board highlights. I wanted to offer myself to testify in Blaise's behalf on his involvement in the development of the 1st Special Forces Group Combatives Course. You can see my signature on Blaise's diploma. James Webb and our company commander Major Matthew Williams III (P) were the other two signers.

I even have original pictures from this course that I will give you if you can contact me.

I know there are many claiming to be this or that, but I would like to add that Blaise was instrumental in helping bring about what has become the "original" Special Forces Combatives. He was one of the original three instructors who started this program in 1985. His training methods, instruction in bladework and stick fighting and many other combative attributes were incorporated and are still in use today. Prior to this combatives had not been formally trained to Special Forces soldiers in almost 20 years.

I left the military many years ago and so did the other original instructors. Many are still teaching in private capacities. One thing I would like to add about all these other Special Forces Combatives trainers. Instructors only stay with a unit for a period of about three years. Training is left to the discretion of the unit commander. Some were pro martial arts / combatives training and others were not. Needless to say, in the last 20 years there have been numerous other Special Forces Combatives training programs but I feel that our program offered the best training possible.

Now there is a formal Combatives School run by the US Army. Having read the description of the course I was very disappointed to see that they missed the mark completely. They use the Gracie method and adopted it so Combatives can now be a sport. At least they are doing something, but I would have liked to see more combative elements mixed in.
